811 Program


Project-Based Section 8 Assistance for non-elderly, disabled or chronically homeless
The 811 Program is Section 8 rental assistance attached to specific units in several MHA affordable housing projects. Applicants must be participating in or eligible for the Medicaid Waiver program, or be chronically homeless. The program targets those who are under age 62 and have extremely low income (30% of Area Median Income or below). Tenant pays 30% of their income towards rent. To apply, contact Alicia Thomas.

Project-Based Section 8 Assistance
Silvertip Apartments also has Section 8 rental assistance attached to certain units. Eligible households must be very low-income (50% of Area Median Income or below). The tenant pays 30% of their income towards rent. Click here to apply.
