FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MISSOULA, MT., June 1, 2018 – The Missoula Housing Authority will be moving away from in person housing rental applications beginning June 1, 2018. The new online system, Missoula.House, is a platform developed by Yardi, one of the leading property management software platforms for real estate clients worldwide. MHA clients will no longer have to physically enter the Missoula Housing Authority offices to submit their applications, check on their waitlist status and make updates to their family profiles. Clients will only need a valid email address to register on Missoula.House. The registration process is secure and takes approximately five minutes. The platform is touted for its user ease. Missoula.House is also mobile friendly, and there is an Apple and Android App available for download. Although no client will ever be turned away from MHA for lack of internet access, clients are highly encouraged to utilize the new system, as it is more efficient and easier to access than the former application process. “We are excited to offer this new service to our clients and potential clients,” said Jim McGrath, Director of HUD Programs. “Our goal is to provide housing solutions to the most people possible, and this new service will allow us to do so more efficiently and effectively.” If clients do not have internet access they are encouraged to utilize the internet at many of the places where access is provided for free, such as the Missoula Public Library or Missoula Aging Services. The staff at MHA will also provide help whenever needed. Kathryn Hungerford, development director for Missoula Aging Services said, “Missoula Aging Services will provide application assistance. Please call 728-7682 for an appointment.
