June 18th 2019

Lieutenant Governor Mike Cooney and Montana Department of Commerce Director Tara Rice today presented awards to Montana’s housing champions during the 2019 Montana Housing Partnership/Mountain Plains NAHRO Conference in Billings, MT.  These awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have shown extraordinary success supporting development, ownership, and advocacy of affordable homes in Montana. “These housing champions have spent much of their careers focused on strengthening our vibrant communities with their passion, commitment and ability to collaborate public, private partnerships,” Lt. Gov. Cooney said. “It’s people like these who truly make a difference in their communities by creating homes that Montanans can afford.” Lori Davidson, Executive Director, was awarded the Lifetime Champion of Housing award.  Her award reads: "In recognition of over 23 years service to the Missoula Housing Authority, the greater Missoula community, and NAHRO. Your leadership as Executive Director at the Housing Authority has resulted in the creation of a diversified and dynamic agency offering a variety of program programs serving 3,800 families, seniors, the homeless and people with disabilities. Thank you." Lori, thank you for your commitment, leadership, compassion, and enthusiasm! MHA wouldn't be the amazing organization it is without you.
